Mirta was born in Cuba and learned early on to forge her own path with joy, strength, and determination—an attitude toward life that is still deeply reflected in her music today. Soul, funk, and the pulsating energy of Latin American rhythms blend in her sound to create a musical language that is both powerful and warm—profound, vibrant, and always carried by hope.
Even as a child, she was a member of the Cuban Radio and Television (ICRT) choir, where she gained her first formative stage experiences. Later, she became part of renowned all-female ensembles such as Las Chicas de Sabor and La Sonora Caribeña.
At the age of 22, music brought her to Germany—as a singer for Roland Peil’s acclaimed project Agua de Colonia. There, she shared the stage with international jazz greats such as Felipe Cabrera, Ramón Valle, Claudius Valk, and Christoph Titz. Since then, she has lived and worked in Cologne, where she has consistently continued to develop her own artistic path.
Her solo album *With.Influence*, created in collaboration with Guido Craveiro, combines creative diversity with musical depth and expressiveness. The work impressively reflects her versatility and showcases an artist who effortlessly transcends stylistic boundaries.
Between 2005 and 2026, Mirta performed on international stages alongside numerous renowned artists, including Joe Cocker, Jennifer Paige, Gentleman, Jan Delay & Disco No. 1, Dellé, Stefanie Heinzmann, Marla Glen, Bantu, Uwe Banton, Mellow Mark, ZOE, Abiodun, Alfonso Williams (DSDS winner), and many more.
In addition, she has been involved in special productions, including the play “Estrella” by Renzzo Heiliger and the film “Der Nachname,” for which she collaborated with Helmut Zerlett on composing the title track “La Espera.”
Currently, Mirta can be seen live on stage with Marley’s Ghost & Friends feat. Delle, Das Lateinamerikanische Quintett, Na Mouléma, as well as her own projects under her name and other exciting musical productions.
